Annual Book of ASTM Standards. The 80+ volume Annual Book of ASTM Standards contains ASTM's 13,+ standards and is available in print and Subscription formats. The volumes can be purchased individually, as a section (at a 25% discount) or as the complete 80+ volume set (at a 50% discount). ASTM. Nails and staples produced by ISANTA members are made to standards that have been developed and listed by ASTM International. These standards provide the necessary information regarding terminology, material requirements, physical properties, dimensions and tolerances, protective coatings, testing procedures, and requirements of not only the fasteners, but the wood-based materials .

ASTM A Standard Test Methods, Practices, and Terminology for Chemical Analysis of Steel Products: ASTM A Standard Specification for Wrought Nickel-Iron Soft Magnetic Alloys (UNS K, K, N, N) ASTM A/AM: Standard Test Method for Coating Weight (Mass) of Metallic Coatings on Steel by X-Ray Fluorescence: ASTM A/AM. Method D and Test Method D), but this is partly the result of it being insensitive to all but large differences in adhesion. The limited scale of 0 to 5 was selected deliberately to avoid a false impression of being sensitive. TEST METHOD A—X-CUT TAPE TEST 5. Apparatus and Materials Cutting Tool—Sharp razor blade, scalpel, knife.

Traditional methods for the qualitative evaluation of adhesion (e.g., bending, scratching, or impacting) that were developed for less complex materials (e.g., zinc coatings) are of limited value but are nonetheless included in ASTM, British Standards Institute, and International Standards Organization (ISO) standards. stresses in coatings can be useful in coating formulation and recommendations for their application and use. 1 This test method is under the jurisdiction of ASTM Committee D01 on Paint and Related Coatings, Materials, andApplications and is the direct responsibility of Subcommittee D on Physical Properties of Applied Paint Films.

Fastener Standards ASTM's fastener standards are instrumental in specifying, testing, and evaluating the material, dimensional, mechanical, and metallurgical properties of the various forms of hardware fasteners. One hundred thirty-three ASTM standards provide a comprehensive, technical resource on all coatings of mechanical fasteners, including raw materials, coatings and plating specifications, inspection, test methods, and quality assurance provisions for threaded, non-threaded, driven, and other fasteners and fastener components.

AISC produces Selected ASTM Standards for Structural Steel Fabrication in cooperation with ASTM as a convenient resource for common ASTM standards referenced in the design, fabrication and erection of structural steel.

AISC updates the publication approximately every three years, depending on the volume of changes to common ASTM standards and the introduction of new ones.

• ASTM D Chemical Resistance is a visual test to determine the affects of various household chemicals. • ASTM D Cross Hatch is a common test that determines how well a coating will adhere to the surface after the coating has been scratched and pulled off with tape.

• ASTM D Pencil Hardness will determine how hard the coating. ASTM's steel standards are instrumental in classifying, evaluating, and specifying the material, chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical properties of the different types of steels, which are primarily used in the production of mechanical components, industrial parts, and construction elements, as well as other accessories related to them.

The standards in this compilation were published and are copyrighted by ASTM International. The grouping of standards included have been selected by the American Concrete Pipe Association and may not be inclusive of all ASTM standards related to the subject.
